Advisory Neighborhood Commission 7E
considers a wide range of policies and programs affecting the Benning Ridge, Capitol View, Fort Davis and Marshall Heights neighborhood,
including traffic, parking, recreation, street improvements, liquor licenses, zoning, economic development, police protection, sanitation and trash collection, and the Districts annual
In each of these areas, the intent of the ANC legislation is to ensure input from an advisory
board that is made up of the residents of the neighborhoods that are directly affected by government action. The ANC is the body of government with the closest official ties to the people in the neighborhood.
ANC 7E presents it’s positions and recommendations on issues to various District government agencies, the Executive Branch, and the Council. It also presents testimony to independent agencies, boards, and commissions, usually under the rules of procedure specific to those
entities. By law, the ANC may also present its positions to Federal agencies.
Our ANC 7E Newsletter will be disseminated the 1st & 3rd Friday of the Month.
All community flyers and announcements need to be emailed in the jpeg format to email@example.com by Wednesday the week before. They will be reviewed by the Commission prior to being added to the newsletter.
